Noro Kochoran #31 Hoodie Sweater
I love the feel of this angora blend yarn. I don't think I'll be adding the zipper to the front. I loosely used the Hoodie pattern from the Knitting Noro book by Jane Ellison. I wouldn't recommend that book because, even though it has beautiful photographs, it's pretty pointless as a pattern book. Why? 1)There's no way to get the gauge stated. I had to redo all the stitch totals. 2) The patterns are shapeless and unattractive. For a "beginner" level book, if someone can shape a sleeve shoulder head, how come they wouldn't be able to shape sides? I had to shape and lengthen the body, widen the sleeves and totally rewrite the hood part of the pattern. 3) There is overlap with her other pattern books. Sorry, wish I had more positive things to say about this book... Ummm, the photos are pretty?

YAR! Beanie Hat from the ANTICRAFT Crafter's Book
I made mine in Angora. It's double knit and took forever, but I really like that it's reversible.

Hip Hop, Punk & Couture
I knit this executioner / ski mask for my friend, DB. People said it looked scary, which is actually what he wanted.

Another beanie for Jonesy. He plays soccer (football in the UK) and told me what he wanted it to say...

Armwarmers from the Pretty in Punk knitting book. I made them longer and in wool though.

Angora Blend Shawl Collar Cardigan
I love this. The pattern is from Total Crochet by Gayle Bunn. I used Classic Elite Avalon angora blend yarn. There were a few mistakes in the pattern, but they were easy to fix.

Twinkle Big City Knits Bolero Jacket
I knit this with one strand of mohair and one strand of novelty yarn and it knit to gauge. I used a single strand of the novelty around the border to make it look "Couture". I needed to put a button on the neckline though because the yarn is heavy and it falls down in front.

I've been making these shawls and ponchos for charity. The poncho pattern is free on the Lion Brand Yarn website.

Cute Stuff
I seriously like this hat...and this man. Gael Garcia Bernal in a Dior Couture knit Mohawk hat.

I went on a Kitty Hat binge and made three. I crocheted the black one so it was much faster to make.
Blue Sky Alpaca Cropped Cardigan (with 2 inches added to the length) in Diakeito Diadomina (my favorite yarn, next to Noro Silk Garden).

Rowan Racerback Vest in Patons Soy Stripes. I like this yarn too.

Rebecca jumper top in Bernat Haven

Cool Extra Long Crocheted Legwarmers

It's not always about me. I make a lot of baby items to donate to the Stitches from the Heart non-profit knitting store in Santa Monica.

Here's another Noro Silk Garden #251 Minisweater. I love this Stephanie Japel pattern. It's knitted from the top down in one piece with no shoulders or side seams. It only takes a few days and this one only took 3 skeins. I like to buy an extra skein in case I need to match the striping.

Here's another Sexy Little Knits project, the flared crochet miniskirt in GGH Sombrero viscose ribbon yarn. I had to resize it to an XS and make it less flared. I've had to adjust every pattern that I've made from that book, but I still love it.

Ashley Paige Halter
I made my version in Silk City Fibers Peluche & Luna. This is the same top that's on the cover of her Sexy Little Knits book. I adjusted the pattern to make it XS and didn't make the contrast cables. I also picked up the stitches off the bottom of the bodice and knit them in stockinette stitch on #15 needles with the Luna. It was pretty easy. I love it.

New Happy Hooker Crocheted Items
Hi, I just got Debbie Stoller's The Happy Hooker book this week and I really like it. I finished these both in a few days. Cold Shoulder Capelet ( Diakeito yarn. I added 2 shell rows to make it longer and made a crochet button closure instead.)

I made this Garden Scarf from leftover worsted weight wool yarn. It's really cute on and the perfect weight for Los Angeles weather. I made it longer too, 17 flowers instead of 14. I'm pretty tall, so it looks better that way.

Ashley Paige Sexy Little Knits Faux Suede Bikini
I love this. I used Berroco Suede yarn. I had to adjust the bottom to make it fit correctly... like most of the Ashley Paige patterns I've made. Humph!
